I Have a Secret to Tell (From My Electrical Well):
They Might Be Giants is coming to Summerfest this year (along with, it must be mentioned, Stone Temple Pilots and The Crystal Method). In joyous celebration, I kicked around on the Internet and found that TMBG has a YouTube channel! Oh glory of glories!
The videos seem primarily divided into two categories: the old-timey 80's style videos, in which John and John basically seem to take a camera and dick around with it in typical exquisite-dead-guy manner, and the animated videos. Both styles have Hells of Charm.
Favorites (80's style):
Birdhouse in Your Soul - Choreography, welder's masks, and antiquated theatres.
Ana Ng - Teeth, typewriters, and occasional portraits.
The Statue Got Me High - Astronauts, control panels, and longish boy-hair.
Don't Let's Start - Paper mache high-tops?

Favorites (80's-Animated hybrids):
Dr. Worm - He doesn't appear to be an actual worm.
(She Was a) Hotel Detective - Rock Music(!)
Favorites (Animated):
The Mesopotamians - I love Gilgamesh!
Bastard Wants to Hit Me - Incredible animation. Courtney Booker was art director.
Istanbul (not Constantinople) - Classic song plus bizarre stop motion (and traditional) animation.

And, of course, Particle Man - I remember seeing this on Tiny Toons when it came out. I was dumbfounded, as I was not aware that TMBG knew the Tiny Toons.
Drawings soon.
